If you’re reading this message I have to thank you for your consistent support of your child and our staff throughout this school year. Here we all are, about to embark upon a well deserved summer vacation, and you are taking one last opportunity to connect with us at the school.
This school year has provided us with far too many highlights to even begin to share in a brief message so I would ask you to discuss these with your child.
“What was great about this year?”
Friends? Staff? Sports? Fine Arts? There are so many fantastic things our students do that it is always great to hear their thoughts.
I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity this year to join such an amazing learning community. I need to look no further than our recent Blueberry School “Fun In the Sun Day” where we had numerous of parent volunteers supporting an amazing staff to provide a great day of activity and friendship for students in grades 1-6.
Another highlight during the month of June was the annual water fight between the staff and students in grades 7-9. This was one of those rare occasions where pretty much everyone came out as a winner as we were all wearing huge smiles by the time the action had ended. Among the various other opportunities for our students this month were the numerous field trips to the pool, movie theatre, etc. as well as the grade 5 camp at Fort Edmonton Park and the grade 6 camp to Pigeon Lake.
As we sign off for another year, on behalf of the staff of Blueberry School I would like to wish you a safe and relaxing summer with family and friends. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall!
Sincerely,
Mr. S. Patras
Principal
