Summer Is Here!

With June rapidly coming to a close, and with it our 2012-2013 school year, I would like to take one last opportunity to share a few of my thoughts with each of you.

With your support from home, we have had a fantastic year again at Blueberry School.  Our students have won athletic championships; they’ve shown amazing sportsmanship and citizenship on and off the court/field; they put on an amazing production of Fiddler on the Roof, followed by a “Red Carpet” Art event.  Our choirs have represented our community with skill and pride.  Students in grade 6 are now DARE grads; with students in grades 7 and 9 having completed the HEROES program.  They have enjoyed swimming lessons, camp, trips to Quebec and Vancouver, conversing with Astronaut Chris Hadfield at the Telus World of Science, and talking with Minister Johnson and Premier Redford on a conference call with Alberta Education.

This year has proven to be extremely full of very unique learning opportunities for our kids and we are thankful for your support in helping us to connect the learning experiences here at Blueberry School to your lives at home.

We look forward to seeing all of you again in September on the first day of school!  Please consider joining us for our annual pancake breakfast to say hello. In the meantime, on behalf of the staff of Blueberry School, I would like to wish you a restful summer break with friends and family.
