What’s New in Wolfpack Nation?

This post began with the intention of capturing much of the great learning and extracurricular opportunities that have recently been made available to students at Woodhaven Middle School. What I quickly realized as I captured just the Athletics and Fine Arts opportunities is that there’s so much in those areas that the rest is just going to have to wait.

We are proud of all of our Volleyball teams who have represented Woodhaven with pride and athleticism.  Just this past weekend, our Jr. A Boys played extremely well in finishing in 2nd place in the County Championships. Great job Boys!

Also from the land of athletics, our annual Fall Ball league has just begun. Fall Ball provides a great opportunity for students in grades 5-6 to begin to learn the game of volleyball in a fun, developmental environment. You can find out so much more about the land of athletics and Physical Education at Woodhaven Middle School on the Wolfpack Blog.

Now onto the Fine Arts at Woodhaven. Recently our Drama team created a fantastic Haunted House for the students and staff within our building. Their creativity and acting skills were truly impressive! In addition to the Haunted House, this team of students has begun their work on the first production of the year. Not to be outdone, our Show Choir continues it’s work in preparation for their trip to Anaheim where they will perform in Disneyland on the main stage!

The Fine Arts opportunities at Woodhaven don’t end there, as our gr 6-9 band students continue their work under the direction of Mr. Ryan Laslop and we are eagerly anticipating their first concert of the year. To tide us over while we await a band concert, we are excited for the music concert being led by Ms. Young and our grade 5 and 6 students in early December.

We hope to see our parents and students coming out to the sports and fine arts opportunities that are coming soon. Stay tuned 🙂
