Important Year End Info

While it’s hard to believe that another school year has come and gone, this post is focused on the important information that our parents and students need to know as we wrap up the school year and begin preparations for 2018-19.

Year End Wrap Up Info

Online Registration/Verification – If you have not yet completed the registration/verification for your child, it is imperative that you do so prior to this Friday, June 29th, 2018. You can learn more about this process on the PSD website. This information is relied upon in emergency situations so that the school can contact parents in a timely fashion. Any students whose registration has not been completed by this Friday will not be eligible for busing to start the upcoming school year.  Please call the school for any support you may require in this process. We are happy to help!

Bus Pass Distribution – PSD will be doing bus pass distribution a little bit different for next school year. We will be handing out bus passes at schools rather than from division office.  What does this mean for you?  For those families who have completed the online registration/verification by Friday, June 29th, we will have bus passes available to be picked up starting on August 22nd at Woodhaven Middle School.  More information will be available on our website as the time draws closer.  If you have questions, please let us know!

Year End Report Cards – Year-end report cards will be online using Powerschool again this term.  They will be posted on Jun 28th at 3:15, should you run into issues accessing them please contact us at the office on the 29th or email woodhaven@psd70.ab.ca and we will get you a copy.  If you requested a paper copy from the last round of report cards we will send them home that way again on the 28th, if you would like a paper copy of the report card on the 28th but didn’t request one for term 2 please contact the school via email at  woodhaven@psd70.ab.ca or by phone at 780-962-2626 with your request and we will make sure a paper copy is sent home.

PAT Results –  For parents of students in grades 6 & 9, the Preliminary Results of your child’s PAT’s will be sent home with your child this week. Please watch for these and feel free to contact your child’s teacher with any questions you might have.

Office Opens August 22nd – We will be back in the office on August 20th to start preparing for next year.  Typical office hours are 9:00-3:30 during the summer, however, there are several meetings scheduled so please call ahead if you are coming in during this week so we can make sure someone is there.

School Supply Lists – Supply lists for the upcoming year have been posted to our website. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions you might have.
