A few Updates from Ecole Meridian Heights School

As we roll through our 4th week of in person learning at Ecole Meridian Heights School there’s much to share. We have some important information on our COVID 19 protocols that we want to ensure our families are aware of.

COVID Protocols – Updates

Daily Screening

We appreciate our parents taking the time to complete the COVID 19 Daily Screening Questionnaire with each of their children. Ensuring our kids are arriving to us without symptoms allows us all to work together to keep all staff and students safe, and reduces the likelihood that parents will receive a call during the day to come pick up their child if he/she is presenting with symptoms. Thank you for continuing to ensure you complete this Questionnaire.

What to do if your child is sick…

Parkland School Division has done a wonderful job summarizing what to do if your child is sick in this short article. Please take a moment to give it a quick read.

Pre-existing Medical Conditions

In order to minimize the amount of time that your child needs to be away from school if he/she should show symptoms consistent with Covid 19, we encourage all families of students with pre-existing conditions (e.g. asthma, allergies etc.) to complete the Pre-existing Medical Conditions form. Having this on file with the associated documentation, including a Negative Covid Declaration form and a doctor’s note or other supporting information will often help to get your child back to school sooner if his/her symptoms are a result of the pre-existing condition.

Keep your eyes out for the next post which will touch on many of the events underway or coming soon at EMHS!

Stay well,

Mr. S. Patras
