Mid March Updates From EMHS

Hello parents/guardians,

There’s a lot happening at EMHS this week as we speed towards spring break next week so please take a moment to read on to learn what’s happening at EMHS.

Parent Feedback

Many of you may recently recall providing information to us in the Thought Exchange process. Thank you for doing so! Your input helps us to celebrate areas of strength and identify and address areas for improvement.

In that survey, some of you indicated you prefer to receive information via email as opposed to having to go to another site, specifically my blog. Moving forward we will ensure the information is provided in an email. Thank you for sharing this concern with us!

Francofete

You may have heard from your child’s teacher that we are once again celebrating Francofete at Ecole Meridian Heights School. Students will be enjoying several events highlighting french culture throughout the week. Monday and Tuesday the week starts off with a pancake breakfast for all, followed by several learning activities such as making lanterns, voyageur canoes and much more!

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

Don’t forget these conferences are happening this Tuesday, March 15th and Thursday, March 17th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in an online format. If you have not yet booked an appointment with your child’s teachers please reach out to them to do so.

If, for some reason, these days will not work into your family’s schedule, please reach out to your child’s teacher to make alternate arrangements. We look forward to reconnecting with each of you.

Spring Break and PD day

As you are likely aware, Spring Break begins next Monday, March 21st. We hope you and your family have an opportunity to enjoy some great weather (hopefully) and recharge as we make that final push to June. It is also important to note that Monday, March 28th is a professional development day and students are not in attendance. Kids return to school on Tuesday, March 29th, 2022.

Until next time,

Mr. S. Patras

Principal, Ecole Meridian Heights School
